I feel proud to have been associated with the Institute in various capacities since its inception, including my present stint as Principal (Officiating). With more than two decades of experience of imparting technical education, the Institute has now grown in number and volume in terms of faculty, infrastructure, students and activities. The processes and outcome have become more mature, the presence has become more far-reaching through collaborations and Alumni network.

While academic discipline is important for the students to score consistently good in the semesters, it is equally important to explore and learn technology beyond the syllabus. They must acquire knowledge/skill/certification on different emerging domains like AI, ML, IOT, Cyber Security, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Big Data etc. through projects, internships, online certificate courses of Swayam/NPTEL/Coursera/NASSCOM etc. to make themselves industry-fit and readily employable. With the active guidance of Swayam Local Chapter of RCCIIT, record number of our students have done certifications, even in the pandemic situation.

Three industry-sponsored learning programs namely, TCS NQT, Cognizant Digital Nurture and Wirpo Talent Next are running presently in RCCIIT with focus on preparing the pre-final year students for upcoming placement in final year. Emphasis is given to the coding skills of the students by arranging special coding class right from 1st year across all disciplines.

A culture of coding and new technology learning is gradually setting in, which can very well be projected as the USP of RCCIIT. Students are also participating in great numbers with a good strike rate in national level industry-organized coding competitions like TCS CodeVita, TCS NQT, InfyTQ, HackwithInfy, GenC etc.

Besides having academic collaborations with some Institutes/ Universities of repute, we are always keen to develop partnership with core industry so that our students and faculty gets industry-exposure through training, internship, project and R&D while industry gets job-ready engineers. Recent MoUs with couple of electrical and instrumentation companies mark the beginning of industry involvement in shaping the future of the Institute.

Planned approach is taken up also for escalating Research & Innovation, Social Outreach & Entrepreneurship endeavours which can play instrumental role in accreditations and institute ranking.

RCCIIT has been recognized in the band "PROMISING" under the category "Colleges/Institutes (Govt. & Govt. Aided) (Technical)" in Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievement (ARIIA) 2021 by MoE, Govt. of India. I hope to see more such achievements by RCCIIT in the coming days.
